Julie Alegado
IT ALL STARTED WITH A PENCIL AND A SHEET OF PAPER...
When Julie was just a baby, her father balanced a pencil on top of her forehead. With unknown forces of the universe, it balanced gracefully without any trouble. According to her mother, who told Julie this story, her father enlightened her with the prediction that she would craft many great things.
Julie initially aspired to be an architect, studying urban planning and eco-friendly design at a top New York school. After two years at community college, she unexpectedly fell in love with digital media arts.
Julie attended a New York college for three years, studying New Media. She learned digital photography, videography, programming, and more, incorporating these into her work. She is passionate about creating playful, comical, informative, and interactive designs.
BEHIND THE COMPUTER & CAMERA...
Julie works at a sign company near New York City. Along with designing for upcoming buildings in the Tri-State area, she’s a local photographer capturing memorable moments over good food and company.
